Muscat – Oman has expressed its sympathy with Turkey for the bomb blast in the Taksim area of Istanbul on Sunday, which killed six people.

A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry said, ‘The Sultanate of Oman expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the government and people of the friendly Republic of Turkey for the bomb blast that targeted the Taksim area in Istanbul, and wishes a speedy recovery for the injured.’

AFP reported that Turkish police on Monday said they had arrested a Syrian woman, working for Kurdish militants, for planting the bomb.
