Muscat – The people of the wilayat of Muqshin organised a march to express their loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on the occasion of the 52nd National Day on Saturday.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Muslim Jadad, Wali of Muqshin, and a number of officials, participated in the march alongside a group of people carrying pictures of His Majesty the Sultan, the Omani flag and banners expressing their sincere thanks to His Majesty for the achievements during his reign.
Sheikh Jadad said the march renewed the people’s loyalty to His Majesty the Sultan, adding that the gains in all sectors in the country are a source of pride.
He informed that the projects expected to be implemented next year include a 168km road linking the centre of the wilayat to other wilayats. “This road project will enhance tourism activities.”
Other important upcoming projects include a health centre to be built at a cost of RO1.2mn. “It will provide health services to citizens, residents, visitors and users of the Adam-Thumrait road. It will be completed by the end of 2023.”
Sheikh Jadad added that Dhofar Municipality is also implementing the Muqshin Oasis project at a cost of RO350,000. “This project aims to provide multiple services to travellers on the Muscat-Salalah highway, especially during khareef season.”
