Muscat – Oman took part in the 19th session of the Joint Defence Council of GCC Ministers of Defence, held at the headquarters of the GCC Secretariat General in Saudi Arabia. Oman’s delegation was headed by H H Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs.

The session touched on a wide spectrum of military matters of common interest in a bid to enhance the march of the GCC’s military cooperation. In his statement, H H Sayyid Shihab extended an invitation to the GCC Ministers of Defence to attend the 20th session of the Joint Defence Council in Oman.

Several decisions and recommendations were made during the session which will be submitted to the GCC Supreme Council.
