Muscat – Four people were arrested for smuggling khat in Dhofar on Thursday, according to Royal Oman Police (ROP).

In a statement, ROP said, ‘Coast Guard arrested four Arab nationalities in Dhofar governorate and seized 1,566 bundles of khat in their possession,’ ROP statement said.

It added that legal action has been taken and referred them to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
