Muscat – Oman Airports has announced an international photography competition called ‘Oman through International Eyes 2022’ with the aim of stimulating tourism.

A statement issued by Oman Airports said, “We are pleased to launch the photography competition ‘Oman through International Eyes 2022,’ in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, which aims to highlight the beauty and heritage of Oman.”

Participants can submit up to three photos which should include location details. Basic editing, including colour enhancement, use of filters and cropping is acceptable, provided such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the photos.

Entries must be of minimum 150dpi in landscape orientation and JPEG format. Monochrome photos will not be accepted in the competition.

‘Photography is the only language that can be understood everywhere in the world. What more beautiful way to show the beauty of Oman than photos? In this competition, participants are requested to highlight the beauty and the opportunities of Oman through photographs, highlighting the extraordinary landscapes, the amazing culture, the rich wildlife, or simple details of unforgettable moments in Oman.’

Winning entries will be showcased in prominent places in airports across Oman.

Registration for the contest opened on November 1 and will end on February 28, 2023.
