Muscat – To mark Omani Tree Day, the Environment Athourity (EA) distributed wild seedlings to 22 schools in Buraimi Governorate.

An official at EA said, “The authority launched an initiative among 22 schools in Buraimi Governorate. The initiative aims to distribute wild seedlings and spread awareness on the importance of the national initiative to plant ten million trees and celebrate Omani Tree Day.”

Specialists at EA, in Buraimi, also distributed wild seedlings to citizens in some places in the governorate, while seedlings of wild trees will be planted in a number of wadis in the Wilayat of Mahdah and in some companies with the participation of students from the governorate, the official said.
