Muscat – Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) celebrated its annual day, observed on November 1 annually, under the patronage of Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, on Tuesday.

The ceremony, which was held at the parade field of the RGO Command, included the graduation of service officers and new recruits.

It also included programmes that depicted the development and modernisation of RGO under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.

Sayyid Theyazin then pinned special service medals on RGO personnel in recognition of their service to the nation, following which the new graduates sang the RGO anthem accompanied by a parachute performance by the RGO Free Jumping Team.
