Muscat –The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MOCIIP) in cooperation with the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) raided a water bottling factory for commercial fraud in Dakhliyah on Thursday.

In a statement, MOCIIP said, ‘The Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in Dakhliyah governorate, in cooperation with CPA raided a water bottling factory after noticing discrepancies in the expiry dates printed on cans. The ministry had received several complaints from some citizens about the factory.’

CPA called upon consumers to report any such suspected practice and also urged suppliers to comply with consumer protection laws and regulations.
