Muscat – Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) hosted at its headquarters on Wednesday the Omani-Uzbek Business Forum attended by representatives of several Omani businesses and their counterparts from Uzbekistan.
The visiting delegation was headed by Furkat Sidikov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan.
The forum explored trade and investment relations between the two countries as business leaders from the two sides highlighted the importance of strengthening trade relations to augment the volume of bilateral trade.
The guests made a visual presentation on the most important and promising investment opportunities in Uzbekistan in the fields of information technology, raw material, chemicals, agriculture, renewable energy and others.
On the sidelines of the forum, B2B meetings were held between Omani and Uzbek businessmen with the aim of exchanging expertise and detailing investment opportunities in the two countries.
