Muscat – Oman Customs has foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of adulterated cigarettes into Oman.

In a statement, Oman Customs said, ‘Buraimi Governorate Customs thwarted smuggling of large quantities of adulterated cigarettes, which were hidden in the front and bottom of trucks at Hafeet, Hamash and Saara land ports.

Legal measures have been taken against the culprits.
