Muscat – The Royal Army of Oman, represented by the Food Directorate, is taking part in the ongoing British rationing exercise ‘Army Sustainer’, along with a number of armed forces catering crews coming from different countries.
The exercise, which began on September 3 and scheduled to continue till September 10, is held annually in the Prince William of Gloucester barracks in Grantham, an industrial town in Lincolnshire, England.
This exercise enhances the efficiency of army catering crews by refining their capabilities through exchanges with fellow armies on their experiences and expertise in logistical and administrative fields.
The overall objective is to achieve maximum efficiency in food rationing, besides developing skills to coexist under harsh conditions during military operations.
