Muscat – The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) on Monday launched the second phase of its home ambulance services in three different governorates including Muscat.
A statement issued by CDAA said, ‘The authority launched the second phase of home ambulance services in the governorates of Muscat, North Batinah and Dakhiliya.’
In February this year, CDAA started home ambulance services in six governorates viz. Musandam, Buraimi, Dhahirah, Al Wusta, South Sharqiyah and North Sharqiyah.
This ambulance services were launched to provide emergency medical care in critical cases arising at home and subsequently transfer the patient to a nearby health institution.
It seeks to cater to medical emergencies arising in the cases of critical respiratory diseases, heart diseases, injuries, severe fractures, sudden loss of consciousness, sudden general and partial paralysis, severe bleeding, severe pain, critical nervous system diseases, severe electric shock, severe poisoning, drowning, obstructed childbirth and severe burns.
