Muscat – North Batinah Municipality is inviting bids for investment in development projects in the wilayats of Liwa, Saham, Suwaiq and Khabourah in the governorate.
In Liwa, the municipality is inviting bids for investment and development of the entrance to the wilayat and establishing a marine park.
In Saham, bids are invited for establishment of a marine park in the Mukhalef area and another in the Umm al Jaharif area.
The municipality is also inviting bids to establish a waterfront park in Suwaiq and development of the Al Husn area in Khabourah.
The last date for submission of bids is September 13.
The projects are in line with the Governorate Development Plan in which each governorate is allocated RO20mn during the 2021-2025 Five-Year Plan period serving as incentive for competitiveness and economic growth.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to increase the amount allocated to each governorate from RO10mn to RO20mn during the current Five-Year Plan will support implementation of strategic programmes, and help priority development of governorates and sustainable cities.
