Muscat – With a week to go before thousands of children return to schools on September 4, the Ministry of Education has launched a short film to raise awareness among students on safety in school buses.

The two-minute film directly communicates with students drawing their attention to important aspects when taking a bus or any other means of transport to school.

It asks students to wait in a safe place, and make sure the bus has stopped completely. ‘Do not rush to the door so that none of you will get hurt. Eventually you will get on the bus together,’ the film exhorts.

Children are also advised to keep calm and avoid putting their hands out of the windows.
‘When the bus reaches the school, get off in an organised way.’
