Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued a Royal Directive on Sunday to provide school supplies for children of families dependent on social security and those with limited income.

‘Within the context of the Royal Attention of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to students from social insurance and low-income families enrolled in government schools, the Ministry of Finance has endorsed the disbursal of approved sums in coordination with the Ministry of Education and
the Ministry of Social Development,’ the Government Communication Centre stated.

The aid aims to provide school supplies from the beginning of the new academic year, in addition to daily nutrition for students from social insurance and low-income families.

According to the Ministry of Education, 59,030 students will benefit from the Royal Directive.
