Muscat – The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) will organise a promotional conference for investors and listed companies during September 5-6 in Muscat.

The conference will focus on the investment environment of the securities sector in Oman. The event will provide a platform for the listed companies to introduce their financial performance, prominent projects and future plans in fron of local, regional and international investors.

In a statement to Oman News Agency, Haitham bin Salim al Salmi, CEO of the Muscat Stock Exchange, said that the investor conference is a promotional platform for public shareholding companies listed on Oman’s stock exchange.

“The conference will bring together the CEOs of largest public shareholding companies and will include several working papers on Oman’s economic achievements and projects which enhance the country’s position in meeting investors’ aspirations,” he said.

Salmi said that the conference will enhance effective communication between investors and public shareholding companies. “This may help in developing the performance of these companies and identifying available investment opportunities. This is an opportunity for companies to expand and diversify their investors base.”

He further stressed that the MSX seeks to continue holding such promotional conferences and meetings that would enhance the stock exchange’s position on the global investment map and introduce investment opportunities in the sultanate.
