Muscat – A child lost his life after he drowned in a wadi in Nizwa, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) confirmed.

In a statement, CDAA said, ‘The teams of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Department in Dakhiliyah Governorate responded to a child drowning in a wadi in the Tanuf area in Nizwa where he was taken to hospital by the authority’s ambulance teams but was found dead,’ CDAA said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has rescued two persons after their vehicle was trapped in a valley in Shinas.

‘Rescue teams in North Batinah Governorate managed to rescue two people after their vehicle was stranded in a water body in the Wilayat of Shinas. They are in good health,’ CDAA stated.

On Thursday, CDAA said 134 people were evacuated including 105 citizens and 32 nationals from GCC in Maha and Lima in Musandam governorate following heavy rainfall. “They were transferred to Madha Airport. All of them are in good health,” CDAA added.
