Muscat – The body of a citizen who fell from a mountain in Jabal Hat in the Wilayat of Al Hamra was recovered on Tuesday.

A Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances official said, “Teams of the Department of Civil Defence and Ambulances in Dakhiliyah responded to the accident of a citizen who fell from a mountain in Jabal Hat in the Wilayat of al Hamra. The teams were able to reach him despite the difficult mountainous terrain, and retrieve the body of the man.”

The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) has asked hikers and mountaineers to register their details on the NIDAA app prior to venturing out on any adventure trip.

In a statement, CDAA said, ‘Before you start your adventure, register the location and the participants on the NIDAA app.

‘Adventure seekers should take advantage of the app as it is meant to ensure that rescue teams arrive faster in the event of an emergency.’ The app can be downloaded here: https://t.co/UTfDUsJHUk
