Muscat – The Ministry of Labour (MoL) announced 207 jobs in the private sector under the wage subsidy initiative on Sunday.
A statement issued by MoL said, ‘Job opportunities are announced in private sector establishments that registered to benefit from the wage subsidy initiative implemented under Royal Directives.’
These 207 jobs are for aspirants with no work experience. ‘The opportunities are for those with university degrees, higher diplomas, post-secondary diplomas, professional diplomas, and General Education Diplomas,’ MoL stated.
Under the subsidy initiative, wages of employees will be subsidised to the tune of RO200 for a period of two years, provided that the employer bears the difference and employment is for a period of at least two years – equal to the period of government support.
On Sunday, MoL also held a training programme titled ‘Enabling – Contribute’ for 2,216 trainees from various governorates who cleared the interview and test stage for employment in government units.
The programme aimed to enhance employability of trainees for government jobs, particularly positivity and leadership traits.
