Muscat – The Higher Education Admission Centre (HEAC), at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, has completed the two-month registration phase, which started in April.

As many as 47,271 students of General Education Diploma (GED) have registered in the electronic admission system for the academic year 2021/2022.

Of the total registered, 24,050 are male and 23,221 female. ‘As many as 42,024 students have made their initial study programme choices,’ HEAC stated.

The centre is preparing for the admission stage, which is as important as the initial registration. An official at HEAC explained that the admission dates will coincide with the announcement of GED students’ final results for the academic year 2021/2022.

The center will reveal the number of seats allocated for the academic year 2022/2023 after the completion and approval of all the seats by higher education institutions. The results of the screening will be available to students on July 1.
