Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received separately at Al Barakah Palace on Monday credentials of several ambassadors of Arab and friendly countries accredited to the sultanate.
His Majesty the Sultan received credentials of the following ambassadors:
Filali Guenni, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
Jota Yamamoto, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Emperor Naruhito of Japan, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
Morgunov Ilya, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
Muhammad Imran Chaudhry, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Dr Arif Alvi of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
Kiejoo Kim, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Moon Jae-in of the Republic of Korea, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
And Thomas Oertle, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of President Ignazio Cassis of the Swiss Confederation, accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
During meetings held on the sidelines with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed greetings and best wishes of their countries’ leaders to His Majesty and the Omani people.
They also expressed their great honour and delight in presenting their credentials before His Majesty the Sultan. They committed to exert sincere efforts to promote relations of their respective countries with Oman in various spheres in a manner that serves the joint interests of the Omani people and their countries’ citizens.
His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors, expressing his gratitude for their leaders’ greetings and best wishes. His Majesty confirmed that they would receive support from him, the government and the Omani people to facilitate carrying out their duties.
The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, the Foreign Minister, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Head of Royal Protocols, and the Military Aides to His Majesty the Sultan.
