Muscat – The Royal Oman Police (ROP) arrested a person wanted by a foreign country for killing one of his relatives and for attempting to kill another person.
In a statement, ROP said, ‘Within the framework of joint cooperation between the Royal Oman Police and the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations arrested a person of Arab nationality wanted by a country on charges of committing a murder crime,’ ROP statement said.
‘The person is accused of killing one of his relatives and attempting to kill another person. Procedures are being completed against him,’ it added.
Meanwhile, ROP arrested two people for stealing from a shop in Dakhiliyah governorate.
In a statement, ROP said, ‘Dakhiliyah Police Command, in cooperation with the Anti-Crime Department, arrested two people on charges of sabotage, seizing a safe from a shop as well as cash.’
It added that legal procedures are being completed against them.
