36 new COVID-19 cases: MoH

Muscat – The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Tuesday announced 36 new COVID-19 infections registered within the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases registered in Oman to 388,536. There were no deaths reported during the same time.

‘The total number of COVID-19 related deaths reported in the country stands at 4,252,’ an MoH statement said. The ministry added that the total number of recoveries is 383,364 after 37 recoveries were reported on Tuesday. The recovery rate is now 98.7 per cent.

‘There were 12 new hospitalisations in the past 24 hours. The total number of COVID-19 patients, currently in health institutions is now 56, including 12 in Intensive Care Units,’ it stated.
