Muscat – The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MHUP) announced that Phase 1 of the integrated service stations on the Batinah Expressway was opened in the wilayat of Liwa on Sunday.
In a statement, MHUP said that in the first phase, only the primary service of fuel stations have been provided, with more facilities to open in due course.
In January, MHUP had announced that it would complete the works of the integrated service stations on Batinah Expressway within 2022.
According to the ministry, the stations are distributed over four locations in North Batinah governorate, with an area ranging from 15,000 sqm to 30,000 sqm. Two integrated service stations will be in Al Hoor region in the wilayat of Suwaiq, one in Rawdha in the wilayat of Saham and the fourth station in New Liwa District in the wilayat of Liwa.
The ministry confirmed that the integrated service stations comprise a fuel station, public utility building with restaurants, multiservice trade outlets, hotel suite, park, prayer areas for men and women, parking lots and other services.
