Muscat – The Ministry of Education (MoE) has called on Omanis to register for the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature on Monday.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Education, said, ‘The Ministry calls on Omanis to register for the for the ninth session of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature 2022 on Monday in the fields of Omani heritage (culture), theater groups (arts) and literature.

The Ministry confirmed that the last date for registration is July 21, 2022. Interested candidates can register via https://sqa.gov

Earlies this month, Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture (SQHCCS) and Science announced the resumption of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature in its ninth edition dedicated to Omanis only.

On September 15, 2020, SQHCC suspended receipt of nominations for the ninth edition of the Award due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature was founded in 2011 with the recognition of late Sultan Qaboos bin Said on Omani and Arab intellectuals, artists and literati for their civilizational contributions.
