180 new COVID-19 cases reported: MoH

Muscat – The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Wednesday announced 180 new COVID-19 infections registered within the past 24 hours, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases registered in Oman to 387,009. There were no new deaths case reported during the same time.

‘The total number of COVID-19 related deaths reported in the country stands at 4,250,’ an MoH statement said. The ministry added that the total number of recoveries is 380,095 after 307 recoveries were reported on Wednesday. The recovery rate is now 98.2 per cent.

‘There were 23 new hospitalisations in the past 24 hours. The total number of COVID-19 patients currently in health institutions is now 106, including 23 in Intensive Care Units,’ it stated.
