Muscat – Oxy Oman recently signed an agreement with AWJ Innovation (Sustainable Technologies & Innovation Development – STID), to develop a national freelancer platform, which is designed to provide opportunities for freelancers and fresh graduates in the market to present their skills and capabilities to companies registered on the platform.
The signing event was held at AWJ Innovation headquarters. Saif al Busaidi, vice president of admin, human resources, and corporate social responsibility at Oxy Oman, represented the company at the agreement signing, and Dr Yousuf al Balushi, CEO of AWJ, represented AWJ Innovation, according to a press release.
The freelancer platform will enable clients to get different expertise and services from skilled and qualified registered workers. In addition, the platform will showcase freelancer profiles to employers and facilitate employment opportunities.
The platform is to be developed to advance the goals of the Oxy Oman exclusively sponsored – .NXT training programme, which continues on its 2nd year to target fresh graduates with training in frontier technologies and entrepreneurship, through workshops and online technical courses. The platform will also service .NXT programme graduates to find future career opportunities and have access to the job market.
