Muscat – An inspection campaign was carried out in commercial activities related to public health, including cafes and restaurants in Bidbid, to ensure that they adhere to necessary health requirements for preparing foodstuff.

As a result, the civic body issued violation notices against four shops and destroyed 20 kilogrammes of unfit food.

The municipality emphasises adherence to guidelines and requirements for both service providers and clients including disinfection of all surfaces frequently and ensuring proper ventilation.

‘There is a need to practice social distancing (minimum two metres) and to provide appropriate personal protective equipment to each employee,’ the civic body said.
