Muscat – Violation notices have been issued against many establishments for running hotels without obtaining tourist licenses in January 2022.

On January 24, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MoHT) recorded a violation against a residential building in Barka that engaged in tourist activity without any license.

On January 16, the ministry issued two violations against two establishments that engaged in hotel activity without obtaining tourist licenses in Muscat Governorate.

The ministry calls on all unlicensed establishments to stop practising activity until their conditions are reconciled and they obtain the necessary approvals and licenses in order to avoid legal proceedings in accordance with the executive regulations of the Tourism Law.
