Muscat – The Ministry of Education (MoE) will establish four schools in three governorates. According to a ministry official, MoE will offer a tender to build the four schools in three governorates.
In South Batinah, one school in wilayat of Musannah will have 36 classrooms for male students of Grades 5 to 10. In the same governorate, a school for Grades 5 to 9 will open in the Sawadi al Hikman area of the wilayat of Barka.
Two schools are for girls; one in the wilayat of Suwaiq, North Batinah governorate, with 36 classrooms for Grades 2 to 11, and a 18-classroom school for Grades 10 to 12 in the wilayat of Al Ashkhara, South Sharqiyah governorate.
The last date of submission of bids is February 22, 2022.
There were 56,569 Omani teachers in government schools in 2021 – 17,881 male and 38,688 female – accounting for an Omanisation percentage of 84.8 per cent.
There were 10,878 Omani administrators and technicians, accounting for an Omanisation percentage of 99.8 per cent.
Additionally, there were 57 Omani male and 250 Omani female teachers in special education schools, accounting for 90.6 per cent Omanisation, and 69 Omani administrators, accounting for 85.5 per cent Omanisation.
