Grade 1 to 4 students to learn online: Supreme Committee

Muscat – In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases, the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling the impact of the pandemic has announced that classes for Grade 1 to 4 students in all schools in Oman must be conducted online for a period of four weeks, starting Sunday, January 16.

The committee also stressed the need for everyone to adhere to the approved precautionary measures and urged all institutions, including commercial complexes and exhibition and conference halls to observe these.

718 new cases

The Ministry of Health (MoH) registered 718 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. There was no new related death.

This takes the total number of COVID-19 cases to 309,588 in Oman. ‘The total number of COVID-19-related deaths is 4,119,’ MoH stated.

It added that 113 new cases have recovered, accounting for a total of 301,287 recoveries.
