Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik returned home on Friday after concluding his private visit to the United Kingdom which lasted several days.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan met Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Head of the Commonwealth, in addition to a number of senior UK officials.
His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied by Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nu’amani, Minister of Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, Ambassador of Oman to the UK.
His Majesty the Sultan’s visit aimed to enhance the advanced relations between Oman and the United Kingdom to serve the two countries’ joint interests and achieve aspirations of their peoples. The visit also touched on regional and international topics of common interest.
