Muscat – The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced the registration of the first two cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in two citizens who had returned from travel abroad.

The ministry stated that they are in stable condition and being subjected to further epidemiological investigations.

Meanwhile, a nationwide immunisation campaign for all those older than 18 years and have completed six months since the second dose commenced on Monday, according to MoH.
In a statement, MoH called on all eligible in this criterion to take the booster dose for the safety of all.

On Monday, MoH announced ten new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number to 304,724 in the sultanate. There were no new related deaths.
