RO85,000 social support for 17 majlises

Muscat – Jusoor Foundation continues its efforts to provide support to the community and contribute to achieving sustainable development through the implementation of development projects and support for various social projects.

In this regard, Jusoor Foundation has completed the provision of partial support to eight more public majlises in the second phase for the year 2021, with a total social investment of RO40,000. With this, the total number of majlises that received support reached 17 in North Batinah, with a total social investment of RO85,000.

Funded by OQ, Sohar Aluminium and Vale Oman, and implemented by Jusoor, the project aims at providing partial support to the majlises benefiting from the programme. This is based on the requests submitted by the communities and after evaluation by Jusoor during site visits to those majlises to determine their fulfilment of certain criteria.

The Omani public majlis is a prominent component of society and has played a significant role in the past and present, as it has been used to serve the community by hosting various social events and sessions.
