Muscat – An official session of talks between Oman and the State of Palestine was held at the Foreign Ministry on Monday.

The session was chaired by H E Sheikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs in the Foreign Ministry, and Dr Amal Jadou, Undersecretary in the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the talks, the two sides discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation. Oman’s stance backing the Palestinian cause was also reiterated.

The two sides also exchanged views on a peace process and on issues of common interest.

The talks were attended by H E Tayseer Ali Farhat, Palestinian Ambassador to Oman, Salim Habib al Amri, Charge d’affaires of the sultanate’s Embassy in Palestine, and senior officials of both countries.
