Muscat – Oman Post, under the patronage of H H Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, has issued a new stamp commemorating the sultanate hosting its first ICC cricket event this month.
According to a press statement issued by Oman Post, the stamp was issued in collaboration with Oman Cricket for hosting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
The historic event marked the sultanate’s rise in cricket on and off the field after hosting the opening match and launching T20 World Cup 2021 at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Amerat.
The special stamp valued at RO1 features an image of a cricket player swinging his bat, as well as the logos of the tournament and Oman Cricket.
‘In addition, the stamp’s sheet features images of the hosting ground of Oman Cricket Academy, alongside Oman’s flag and those of the participating nations’.
