MoL announces 332 private sector jobs

Muscat – In efforts to employ citizens, the Ministry of Labour (MoL) has announced 332 positions in the private sector, including jobs within the wage subsidy initiative.

A statement issued by MoL said, ‘This initiative will support private sector institutions and the ministry urges them to employ Omanis. This is the second announcement of job opportunities offered by private sector establishments that have registered to benefit from the wage subsidy initiative, which comes under Royal directives.’

The ministry stated that the 332 private sector jobs have been announced for aspirants with no work experience. ‘The opportunities are for university degree holders, higher diploma holders, post-secondary diploma holders, professional diploma holders, and General Education Diploma holders,’ it stated

‘Under the initiative, the wages of these employees will subsidised to the tune of RO200 for a period of two years, provided that the employer bears the difference, and employment is at least for a period equal to the period of government support.’
