Muscat – In implementation of Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to speed up the execution of employment initiatives, the Ministry of Labour (MoL) announced the availability of 1,114 positions in government units on Thursday.

According to the announcement, 587 jobs will be made available as a result of vacancies as well as through replacement of expatriates. This is in addition to the availability of 286 existing vacancies and 241 to be made available through replacement of expatriates, taking the total to 1,114.

The opportunities are open for a variety of educational qualifications – 11 for holders of Master’s degree, 746 for holders of Bachelor’s degree, 109 for post-General Education Diploma holders, 56 for GED holders and 192 for artisans and ancillary workers.

Registration for the jobs is open till November 18 during which time candidates can apply through MoL’s website.

This is the eighth announcement of employment opportunities in the public sector in 2021. Other announcements will follow in accordance with actual needs of the government, as per a ministry statement.
