Muscat – Lulu Hypermarket on October 11 launched its latest edition of the ‘Discover America’ campaign, an annual festival that enables shoppers to explore the widest range of American products in Oman. The Lulu event, held from Oct 11 to 17, showcases a wide range of products specially flown in from the United States for Lulu shoppers. The event is held across selected Lulu branches in Oman and features food, delicacies, and grocery products from the United States.
Sixth time in Oman
Commenting on the promotion, Shabeer K A, Lulu’s regional director – Oman, remarked, “We are organising the ‘Discover America’ promotion for the sixth time in Oman. The promotion is an exceptional opportunity for our customers to explore and experience the culinary delights and lifestyles of the United States. The growing demand for U S products from our customers encourages us to organise such events and we hope to bring in more such innovative promotions for our shoppers in the future.”
H E Leslie M Tsou, the U S Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, inaugurated the event at Lulu Hypermarket, Bausher, on October 11, in the presence of Lulu management, staff members, and customers.
“‘Discover America’ celebrates the strong partnership between Oman and the United States,” H E Tsou said. “The incredible variety of products available here shows Omani appreciation for the high quality and value of American brands,” she added.
The Oman American Business Center (AmCham Oman), a Discover America partner, is working closely with the U S Embassy to promote the U S-Oman Free Trade Agreement and highlight U S and Omani partnerships in business and culture.
Lulu has brought in fruits and vegetables, fresh and frozen foods, chilled and dairy products, pies, cakes, and chocolates from the best U S brands for the promotion. The promotion will feature more than 180 brands with a product range of more than 4,000 items. Popular brands like Kraft, Duncan Hines, Planter’s, Bragg, McCain, Jell-O, Bertolli, Ragu, Folgers, Smucker’s, Quaker, Hunt’s, Hershey’s, and many more are available for customers to purchase.
