Muscat – As many as 111,706 people from different countries of the world visited the sultanate’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai over a period of nine days.
Besides viewing the investment opportunities available in the sultanate, visitors were treated to a marvellous visual display of modern technologies as well as the ancient heritage of Oman.
Khalid Salim Zuhaimi, director of Oman’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, said that the daily turnout stood at more than 12,400 and this, he said, is an excellent indicator during the first week.
Zuhaimi added that the number of visitors to the sultanate’s pavilion may go up next month with improvement in the weather.
Some of the important personalities who visited Oman’s pavilion include Dr Nayef Falah al Hajraf, secretary general of the GCC, and his delegation, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, UAE, as well as a number of European dignitaries.
