Muscat – The Ministry of Labour (MoL) has urged all public and private sector institutions to allow employees affected by the severe cyclonic storm Shaheen to work remotely.

In a statement, MoL said, ‘Workers can be allowed to work from home until conditions improve. All public and private sector institutions must take into account workers living in areas directly affected by the tropical cyclone Shaheen and exempt them from coming to their workplaces.”

The ministry said employees who are affected by the cyclone, can also be granted emergency leave without their salaries being deducted during this period.
