The number of COVID-19 patients in the intensive care units (ICUs) in hospitals hit the lowest in more than five months at 95. The number of new cases and the death toll also fell significantly on Wednesday to 147 and six respectively.

‘One-forty-seven new cases of COVID-19 were registered in Oman during the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of positive cases to 300,728,’ the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a statement.

The total number of COVID19 deaths has now reached 4,013. 

The MoH said with 220 more COVID patients getting well, the total number of recoveries rose to 289,130 – taking the recovery rate to 96.1 per cent.
