COVID-19 takes over 4,000 lives

Even though the number of COVID-19 cases have seen a decline with the daily count falling to less than 200 cases, the pandemic has taken many lives in Oman with the total death count crossing 4,000 after eight patients succumbed to the virus on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, The Ministry of Health (MoH) reported 173 new cases. ‘The total number of cases registered in the sultanate has now reached 300,581, including 4,007 deaths,’ MoH said in a statement.

‘Twenty-four patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of inpatients to 239, including 98 in ICUs.’
