The Supreme Committee tasked with tackling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has decided to enforce institutional quarantine for all those coming to Oman from Iraq and Iran.

The decision will also be applicable to Omani citizens coming from the two countries, starting from 12 noon on Tuesday, August 17, until further notice.

In a statement, the Supreme Committee said that it has followed the global developments of the pandemic, and reports indicated a serious outbreak of the disease and a sharp rise in the number of infections in some countries, the severity of which is increasing.
