With the increase in the pace of the National Immunisation Campaign against COVID-19, the Ministry of Health (MoH) confirmed that the recovery rate in the sultanate now exceeds 95 per cent for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic.
MoH has recorded a drop in new daily cases and deaths in the past three days; 686 cases and 30 deaths were reported for the last 72 hours.
The total number of cases registered in the sultanate has now reached 298,706, including 3,936 deaths.
Thirty patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in a 24-hour period on Sunday, accounting for a total 359 inpatients, including 163 in intensive care units. The total number of recoveries is 285,057, accounting for a recovery rate is 95.4 per cent.
The Ministry of Health (MoH) confirmed that vaccination drive for all target groups continue including school students aged 12 and older.
MoH has stated that vaccination centres in the wilayats of North Batinah have witnessed a good turnout of citizens and residents of the target groups within the expanded National Immunisation Campaign.
