On the advent of the New Hijri Year and the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) Hijra, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has exchanged greetings cables with leaders of the sisterly and friendly Arab and Muslim countries.
In his cables, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere greetings and best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life for the leaders. He prayed to Allah the Almighty for the return of this blessed occasion on them and to make the New Year a year of peace and security for all peoples. He also prayed for further progress, welfare and prosperity for the Islamic nation.
In their cables to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the leaders of the sisterly and friendly countries expressed their sincere greetings and best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan. They prayed to Allah the Almighty for the return of this blessed occasion on His Majesty for many years to come to achieve all aspirations of further progress, welfare and prosperity for his faithful people and further welfare and blessings for all Muslims.
The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MARA) on Sunday announced that the Hijri New Year holiday for the year 1443 will be marked on Tuesday, August 10.
Therefore, as issued by the government earlier, the official Muharram holiday will be on Tuesday, August 10, for both public and private sectors.
