4 Aug 2021

Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and Omani Economic Association (OEA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday regarding organising economic activities, seminars and conferences.

The agreement was signed by Eng Ridha bin Juma al Saleh, OCCI chairman, and Dr Khalid bin Said al Ameri, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Omani Economic Association.

“Through the memorandum of understanding, we hope to organise joint economic conferences and meetings that address a number of issues such as employment issues, opportunities for economic diversification, and areas of investment and cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries,” Eng Saleh said.

He added, “OCCI will provide venues for holding events, seminars and conferences, and provide logistical and media support for events, conferences and seminars that are held remotely and at the chamber’s headquarters or its branches in the governorates.”

Dr Ameri said, “The agreement aims to enrich economic knowledge in society and conduct economic studies. OEA will support the chamber by submitting proposals on important economic issues, and providing speakers from the members of the association.”
