Renowned writer, thinker and former diplomat Sadek Jawad Sulaiman passed away on Tuesday. Suleiman was born in Muttrah in 1933.

After his retirement from diplomatic service in 1983, he devoted himself to expanding his knowledge and completed a master’s degree in international public policy from Johns Hopkins University in the US.
Suleiman was one of the founders of the Al Hewar (Dialogue) Center in Washington in 1994, and subsequently became the chairman of the centre’s advisory board.
