26 Jul 2021 By MOHAMMED TAHA

Musab Abdulrahman al Shahri has painted portraits of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the Late Sultan Qaboos bin Said in Itteen Roundabout in Salalah, Dhofar, as an expression of his love for the sultanate and the two leaders.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Shahri said, “I did the two portraits in a project in cooperation with Dhofar Municipality.  It took a week to complete the portraits.”

In the past eight years, Shahri, 26, has found himself atop mountains or standing in front of large canvases, including walls, making eye-catching paintings and portraits, adding to the visual attractions of the sultanate. His portraits express his love for his country, but he also creates images of global personalities and events that touch his conscience.

Shahri believes that his art created in several prominent locations around Salalah add value to the sites and help promote tourism.
