Oman, Northern Cyprus business meet held

As part of its efforts to attract foreign investment, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) hosted a virtual business forum with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The Omani side was chaired by Eng Redha bin Juma al Saleh, chairman of the chamber’s Board of Directors, while the Cypriot side was chaired by Turgay Deniz, president of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce (KTTO), and Ali Kamasioglu, president of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry.

The meeting aimed to enhance communication and economic and commercial cooperation with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, develop trade relations between the two countries, review and exchange experiences and discuss creating trade and economic partnerships.

“The meeting also aimed to see investment opportunities and create more commercial and economic partnerships in the targeted sectors such as steel, mining, food, agriculture, building materials and higher education, in addition to introducing the Omani markets and discovering commercial and investment opportunities,” Saleh said.
